How to compare warm and cool colors
  1. Choose a starting color in Color Temperature Tool and inspect its warm/cool character. Move the control toward a warmer or cooler variation to explore alternatives for a palette, background, or accent.
  2. Open Adjustment settings to compare amber/blue blending with a hue shift. These methods change the color in different ways, so judge the preview alongside its exact color code.
  3. Expand the surroundings comparison to see the same adjusted shade on different backgrounds. A color’s apparent warmth can change with its neighbors even when its HEX value stays the same.
  4. Compare the nine variations to find a suitable direction. Copy the adjusted shade, share the comparison, or send the variations to Color Palette Generator for further editing.
  5. Download the original and adjusted pair or all nine variations as an image, SVG, or CSS. Use the same background and display conditions when comparing the alternatives.

Place the same muted color against peach and pale blue and compare how it feels. This tool describes relative warmth using amber and blue reference directions; near-neutral colors have little colorfulness. It does not measure Kelvin, calibrate a display, or perform photographic white-balance correction.
