Tools and Software I Use to Make This Website

If you want to create your own website, here’s a list of tools and software that will simplify the entire process and save you a lot of time.

I only recommend products that I use myself to design and manage this website.

This post may contain affiliate links to products I mention, meaning that if you click a link and make a purchase, I may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you.

An essential tool you need to run your website is a fast hosting service, preferably a host that knows about WordPress.

Current website host: WPX Hosting

I have been with this host for years, and they provide some of the fastest website hosting at a lower cost than you’ll find elsewhere. This host is also great for people with multiple or high-traffic websites.

Less expensive alternative: Bluehost

I used Bluehost before, and this host is suitable for smaller websites and people who are just starting their blogs. It’s easy to use, support is good, and the price is affordable.

I mentioned WordPress above, and if you haven’t heard the name before, it’s the world’s most popular free content management system. It’s the easiest way to start your website or blog, and it’s what I’m using to run Color Meanings. Get started here.

I get most of the images you see on this website from Adobe Stock. If you want to create visually appealing posts, you can find some of the best stock photos here.

Graphic Design

I use various design software because I also work with graphic design when I’m not busy with this blog. Some of these tools are also useful when creating websites.

For creating professional designs: Adobe Creative Cloud

This product is helpful when designing graphics and editing photos for your website. It includes every software tool you need to create amazing visual content.

Less expensive alternative: Canva

If you want to make custom graphics and designs, this tool does the job. It’s simple and easy to use, and there’s even a free version of the software.

Use These Tools to Create Your Own Unique Website

I’ll continue to add to this list if I find new tools and software I like as I expand this website, but the products mentioned above are what I’m using right now that I believe are helpful to you when you make your website. Good luck, and enjoy the experience!
